Ayahuasca and Yoga Retreat in the Amazon
Nov. 6 - 29, 2011

Join us for 8 ceremonies with the divine plant medicine ayahuasca.  This event will be held deep in the Amazon outside of Iquitos with a traditional Amazonian family.  To access the ceremonial space it takes several hours by boat when leaving from Iquitos. The ceremonies will be ran by a Shipibo woman shaman and Wendy who is recognized by the tribe as a maestra ayahuascera.

*Please not that because this event is held deep in the jungles of the amazon the accommodations are very simple.  This is a very rural and even rugged terrain which lends itself to an authentic ayahuasca experience.  This event is not for the faint of heart as it requires a great deal of introspection, courage, and responsibility.

Important Information:

  1. In preparation for the ceremonies a strict diet is required.  The dietary preparations should begin 1 month before the ceremonies start.  The diet should be restricted to fresh fruit, vegetables, soups, eggs, and rice.
  2. The ceremonial grounds in the jungle have no electricity, running water, internet, etc.
  3. No toxic shampoos, toiletries, perfumes, etc should be taken into the jungle.  Bring only ecological friendly or organic products.  It is up to each of us to preserve the jungle.
  4. Preventative measures against Malaria are recommended.  Though this is not a high risk area, caution should be exercised.
  5. Let us know if you are on any medications.  Certain medications such as anti-depressants SSRI's and MAOI inhibitors do not mix with ayahuasca.
